NH HOOKSETT — Hooksett Town Council recommends $22.9M operating budget for fiscal 2026-27. Vice-Chairman James Sullivan supported the recommendation, saying the budget meets the town's 2 percent increase goal and provides needed services; Councilor Roger Duhaime voted against, preferring deeper cuts. Town Administrator Andre Garron attributed most increases to mandatory health insurance, workers compensation, and liability costs.
The Council voted 3-1 to recommend the operating budget and unanimously approved a $24.6 million default budget as a fallback should voters reject the primary budget at town meeting.
