Council approves truck traffic and tax deed ordinances

NH HOOKSETT — Hooksett approves track donations and ordinances as it faces third default budget. Councilor Alex Walczyk moved to accept $10,543.15 from five businesses for the Stride Together: Hooksett Track & Wellness project, passing unanimously 6-0. Councilor David Smith advanced adoption of Ordinance #26-01 restricting truck traffic on residential roads and Ordinance #26-02 authorizing alternative tax deed property sales, both passing 6-1 with Councilor Roger Duhaime opposed.
Town Administrator Andre Garron presented a $24,643,338 default budget, a $1,056,465 reduction from the proposed budget, representing the town's third consecutive year without voter approval of the full operating budget.
