NH HOOKSETT — Hooksett Town Council awards Heads Pond Access Improvements contract to Advanced Excavating and Paving. The unanimous vote approved $50,390 in funding split between a $20,000 Kiwanis donation and $30,390 from a conservation reserve, with Councilor Roger Duhaime abstaining due to a conflict with his employer Stantec. The project includes ADA-compliant parking and site improvements.
In other business, the Council approved Samera Dalal's application for grant funding for the Stride Together track project at Donati Park and accepted $2,250 in donations for police and town wellness initiatives. Two public hearings were held on proposed ordinances addressing No Through Trucking regulations and tax-deeded property sales authority; a second hearing on the tax ordinance is scheduled for May 13. Budget Committee Chair Abigail Shaine raised concerns about budget constraints and requested legal guidance on establishing a subcommittee process to improve inter-board communication.
