NH HOOKSETT — Hooksett Town Council extends police chief contract 6-1, corrects bid error. The vote to approve Police Chief Justin Sargent's contract extension passed with only Councilor David Smith dissenting, following non-public session deliberation by the seven-member board. Separately, the Council unanimously rescinded a mistaken award of the electrical support contract to Denisco Electric and re-awarded it to the proper low bidder, Oak Ridge Electrical, LLC, with Ian Cote as secondary contractor.
The Council also unanimously accepted a $1,000 donation from Hooksett Kiwanis Foundation to the Police Department for employee wellness initiatives, accepted a 0.95-acre land donation from Ankat Properties, Inc., and appointed Carrie Hyde to the Heritage Commission.
