Council recommends $12,900 village holiday lighting petition warrant article

NH HOOKSETT — Town Council votes 3-1 to recommend $12,900 village holiday lighting warrant article. Chair Timothy Tsantoulis motioned for the petition monetary warrant, which allocates funds for seasonal decorations on the Lilac Walking Bridge, Town Tree, Historical Society, Old Town Hall, and current Town Hall from December to March as part of Light up the Village event. Tsantoulis voted against despite supporting the concept, citing the town's ongoing default budget; Councilors James Sullivan, Roger Duhaime, and Alex Walczyk voted in favor.
The article will appear on the March town meeting ballot for voter approval.
