Hooksett Town Council backs Teamsters police contract for voter approval

NH HOOKSETT — Hooksett Town Council endorses police union contract for ballot vote. Vice-Chair James Sullivan moved to recommend the two-year Teamsters Local 633 Police Patrol & Dispatch Union collective bargaining agreement effective July 1, 2026; the council voted 5-1 to advance it to voters, with Councilor David Smith opposed. In separate action, Smith's motion to rescind two Aye votes from the December 10 meeting failed 3-3.
The council also discussed scheduling a special meeting for January 21 or 23 to approve the Budget Committee's operating budget once deliberations conclude.
